The show was great! We were grateful to be able to be there. Picked up the live CD and a T-shirt for our youngest Dawter.
Nice to meet Eu, Jules, and a couple of other Noonatics there as well. VT

A place to dance? This will really scare Hub Bee!

Have a fab time tonight all of you Museum-bound Noonies. Be sure to take notes. There will be a quiz after your field trip.

See you on Saturday!

It was wonderful to get back to the Midwest & meet some Noonatics I haven't met before as well as seeing some old friends. The concert was absolutely FAB, and more fun is coming! Looking forward to seeing lots of you here in Jackson tonight and tomorrow!

Okay, I told Eu that I would add something here.
Rose H. and I got to the Soaring Eagle Casino around Noone on Thurs., Sept 4. We were able to get our room right away, so we got settled in and after a while we decided to go scout around the premises. While wandering, Rose noticed a DJ booth where 2 DJ's were live from the local Mount Pleasant radio station. On the counter was a poster for the evening concert. Rose said, "I wonder if they're going to interview Peter?" "I'll go ask them", I said. The petite blonde DJ, I think her name was Carmie, said that they were expecting him shortly. (We found out later that Carmie was a fellow Canadian, from Toronto). Rose and I just looked at each other and grinned. Wanting to go get a coffee, but not wanting to miss anything, we sat on a bench and awaited the blue-eyed one's arrival. A few minutes later, another man asked us if one of us would like to be interviewed on the radio, to which we replied, "No way". He convinced us that it would be okay and asked us how many concerts we had been to. At that point, Rose H's total was up to about 115 (within the last 4 years) and mine was about 25 (I think I lost count after 20 anyway - numbers are not my forte - that's French but I don't know how to type those little accent thingies). The nice guy talking to us thought that it was simply amazing and couldn't believe that we were from Ontario and went all the way to Epcot in Florida to see Peter and the banned. He then convinced me that I should speak into the microphone. Ooooo, I'd never been interviewed on the radio before and I REALLY DON'T EVEN REMEMBER WHAT I SAID for what seemed to be about 10 minutes! I know that I DID mention peternoone.com and what a great singer and entertainer Peter is and how much energy he has and how much fun we have at concerts and how simply Onderful Peter is to his fans, and how great the banned is too and about our 5,000 plus Noonatics from far and wide. Whew!
A short while later, Peter arrived on the scene. We were standing back a ways at first and couldn't quite hear for all the bells ringing from the casino behind us. I think one of the DJ's mentioned that I was interviewed because initially he kept looking over at Rose and I and he was grinning from ear to ear, so I must have done good...We moved closer so we could hear just a little bit better and during a station break, Peter asked me if I'd go get him a coffee...Ooooo, one Sweet 'n Low or two? As I mentioned above, I don't do numbers. I am numerically challenged. Best to get it black with the sweetener on the side. So, we missed a part of Peter's interview while we ran down the hall to the snack bar.
The man that asked one of us to do the interview walked up to us afterwards and gave Rose and I each a pass to the pre-concert party. The tables in the first 2 sections were reserved by people who had "purchased" the tables as part of the hospital benefit, but we got in and got the best of the general admission seats that were available. We saved enough seats for as many Noonatics as we knew for sure were going to make it to the concert. The concert was fabulous and Peter and the banned were right on the mark - they amaze me even more each time I see them perform.
The next day, Rose and I decided to run our luggage out to the car before we checked out and spotted the man again out in the parking lot and thanked him for the passes to get in early. He said that they will be starting to work on their next benefit in the next couple of months. Of course, we put in a good word for him to get Peter and the lads again next year and he agreed that he had never seen such a performance. He walked away and while we were checking out at the front desk, he walked up to us and handed us his business card and it turned out that his name was Bruce and he is President of Carson City Hospital, not a DJ after all !! Very nice man.
Then we were on our way to Jackson for more fun & merriment. EveryOne else has gone into detail about the museum, dinners and concerts, so I will finally sign off.
These were all just more fun memories of an absolutely FABULOUS "weekend".
Peter, I'll borrow a line from Bob Hope, "Thanks for the Memories".
Oh, and to cap off an already PERFECT day, I hit the jackpot and won 3,000 NICKELS !! That's $150 U.S. DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT IS IN CANADIAN?!!
