Concert Information: LONG BRANCH CONCERT 7/10/10 PARKING INFORMATION, DIRECTIONS

It's time to make plans for a concert in Long Branch, NJ on July 10th. This is a free outdoor show so come early and bring your lawn chairs!
The fun continues one day after the 1st Noonefest so get your rest everyone-this will be a funtastic weekend!
Here is information on some hotels in the Long Branch area

I spoke to the coordinator for the Long Branch Concert and he advised that parking will be a bit of a challange-you can park on the streets and there is a bank on the corner of Brighton that will allow parking. He advised the best time to arrive for the concert would be around 4:30. Long Branch is off exit 105 on the Parkway-Rt 36 east, 7 miles, right on Ocean Blvd (you will see Monmouth Racetrack). Go south 2 miles on Brighton Ave-you'll see a windmill-hot dog stand. The concert is 2 blocks in from Ocean Blvd.
These are rough directions but I don't think there will be a problem once you get into the area.

Hopefully I will be there. Trying to find flights and what airports to fly in and out of. The next day the 11th is W. Chicago Railroad Days which I think is free too so on with the Noonfest festivities. What a weekend.

WOW!! What a weekend I'm on board for the caravan Jan and I were even talking in chat last week about the possibilty of chartering a bus to New Jersey or even to Chicago Does anyone have any info on Greyhound or rail service to Chicago?? This part of the country will never be the same again!

There is a Holiday Inn Express in West Long Branch. Since this is a shore area you may want to look outside of the area for a lower rate. Many shore hotels want a two night minimum during the summer.

Thanks for the info Joe! Kerry and I were going to stay at a Marriott further inland, but now we have a reservation at the Holiday Inn Express in West Long Branch for $99 + tax. This is shaping up to be a fab weekend! Thanks again for the link.

Tigertail and Jan. Now that would be awesome if we could get a charter bus from Noonefest to NJ to Chicago. That would make things a lot easier for everyone. That way I could only pay for one way flight and then charter bus on the way home with everyone. there sure would be a lot of chattering.

Thanks Lucille and Betty! I am not planning on attending NJ... (yet!) I do see Herman earlier that week in Elk Grove, then in Jim Thorpe PA, then Sunday in West Chicago!!!

ClaireC and I just booked a room at the Holiday Inn Express - it is going to be a fabulous weekend with Noonefest followed by Long Branch!! See you all there!!

I called the hotels listed above. The least expensive was the Holiday Inn Express at $163.00 plus tax. Lucille, do you have any more hotel suggestions? Thanks.
