I received a phone call this afternoon from Kathy H, a volunteer with the Dream Foundation, thanking us for our 'wonderful, very generous" donation from the quilt raffle. She said that we could rest assured that the funds would be spent prudently on the recipient's dreams.
Well done, Noonatics!

Congratulations, ladies and many, many thanks to everyone who participated in the Quilt Raffle. Special thanks to Peter for choosing the Dream Foundation as the recipient of the proceeds and for choosing the winning tickets for the quilt and pillow and the pendant.
I've just gotten home and have not had a chance to calculate the amount of money received at BSL. As soon as I do, I will post the winner of the ticket guesses!
What an aweome cause Peter. I get paid on Friday so check will be coming in after. Thanks karen for doing an awesome job and all who donated there t-shirts.
Please make the checks out to me. I will deposit all $$ collected into an account and then write out a check when I have the final total at the end of the raffle.
I'm looking forward to seeing the post office box overflowing!
I hope everyone has had the chance to go to the Dream Foundation website and read about what they do. It really touches my heart. I am proud that we are working toward making a substantial donation to this worthy cause. Thanks for choosing this charity, Peter.
It is indeed a very worthy cause. Santa Barbara really takes care of its "own" and I admire the city for this. This should serve as a model for ALL cities!
My money will be in as soon as our credit card bill is paid off!
I love the quilt and the cause! Hopefully they'll be selling the raffle tickets at Busch and we'll get them there, since those concert's are getting getting real close now!
I am working with area Funsters to decide when and where tickets will be sold. If tickets will be sold at a certain concert, your Funster will post about it. Be sure to keep your eyes on the forums!!!
Carolyn - Thanks!
Margo - I won't be at Epcot, but that doesn't mean that tickets won't be available!!
Linda - will know about Merrillville probably within the week.
This is so exciting another fund raiser for a GREAT cause:) KT you are AMAZING you have so much talent and so much to give for The Fan Club:) If I do not get a concert soone I will be mailing in my check for the tickets.
Please check out the Dream Foundation website. What a fabulous organization and I'm so proud to be a part of this fan club that takes part in activities such as this!
Just checked out the website - what a great organization!! Thanks Peter for picking such a great cause!! I am a proud member of two fan clubs - both which do a huge amount to help those in need and include their fan base in the process!!
Thanks for the thanks everyone, I had a lot of fun putting the quilt together. It's taking a team of Noonatics to get the raffle done so I want to say thanks to all of you!
Woohoo! The first deposit has been made! We are well underway to that big donation for the Dream Foundation.
I've gots lots and lots of tickets available, so get your orders in. See the original post above for shows where tickets will be sold.
See Betty/FlossyFlit's post above for the link to the making of the quilt from start to finish. To borrow a phrase, "It's wonderful, it's marvelous, it's fabulous, it's beautiful..." What a treasure this will be to the winner!
Glad to hear we are off to a great start! Hmmm, anyone want to take a guess as to how many tickets we sell? I have some great gifts that came out of someone's closet that would make a good prize. I say 3507.
Wow! what a wonderful, generous idea! Thanks to the wonderful women who make up the Noonatics and the dedication to make such a wonderful quilt and pass on the proceeds for a noble cause! Cheers to you!
Knowing the Noonatics, I say 5000 tickets will be sold. My purchase is on the way to helping make that a reality!
Just as another point of interest, the Dream Foundation has now gotten the attention of CNN with their incredible work. Here is a link to an inspiring, current article from CNN (have your tissues ready!):
